What is your vision on mobility as a super hero?
Having access to information any place, any time has been an important step for myself and for the rest of the world as well. It has been the greatest evolution in the IT landscape of the last years. Mobility has become an important part of our day-to-day lives and still gains importance every day.
When you look at the growing popularity of tablets and smartphones for example, it’s fair to say that even though we have already come a long way this is still just the beginning. A few years ago, we never thought possible what is reality today. Predicting what the future will bring for us is very difficult.
One thing is sure: time and technology cannot be stopped. As a mobile super hero, it is my duty to follow up on all evolutions as best as possible.
What are your strengths as a mobile super hero?
My greatest skill is probably my ability to quickly adopt new technologies and knowledge. Combined with passion, being driven and a serious dose of team play towards my super hero colleagues, this enables me to complete my work for the customer on time, within budget, without bugs and according to the specs.
What is my work? Defending the customer’s demands for high quality mobile business applications and making sure the customers are satisfied. The work can be a complete solution like a Java backend with a mobile applications but can just as easily mean using my knowledge and technological insight to expand an existing architecture with a mobile client.
My motto? Let’s do our job right so people don’t complain about us the way we complain about them! <note of the ed., this is a statement made personally by Mobile-V, because at RealDolmen as a policy we never complain about anybody, honest…>
Which superhero skills do you have on your utility belt?
As I started with iOS development ever since the first beta of the iOS SDK (back then iPhone SDK), it’s fair to say that this is my super skill. Aside from this power, I’m also armed with a strong knowledge of other mobile technologies: Phonegap, Sencha Touch, HTML5, … you name it!
Like every super hero I also have a secret weapon: my Java background that I built up during the last seven years while working for different clients.
